DANČE BEACH

Danče, a rocky bay ideal for nature lovers, is one of the most popular and oldest beaches in Dalmatia and Dubrovnik. Here, the sea is deep and clear, and the water is slightly cooler than elsewhere in Dubrovnik. Due to regularly huge waves, the Danče beach is not recommended for young children (unless they are accompanied by their parents). However, if you are an experienced swimmer – this beach is perfect.

Just ten minutes away from Villa Orti, south of the shady Gradac park behind the University.

BANJE BEACH CLUB

Banje, Dubrovnik’s prime beach, is popular for its wondrous views and the famous Banje Beach Club. The club comprises a separate area of the beach with sun loungers and umbrellas, a seafood restaurant and a lounge bar which turns into a night club after dark. The part of the beach which is not under the club’s management is open to the public and comes with no fees attached. Water sports activities are also offered.

Just a five-minute drive to the east of the Dubrovnik Old Town.

ST. JACOB’S BEACH

St. Jacob’s beach is one of Dubrovnik’s finest beaches. The walk to the beach comes adorned with a descent of 160 steps, so if you’re into more leisurely arrivals, inquire in the Old City harbour about boat transfers to the beach. Embraced in humongous cliffs topped with St. Jacob’s monastery, facing the Lokrum Island and serving vistas of the Old City in the distance, St. Jacob’s makes the stretch well worth it.

The beach of St. Jakob sits some 2 kilometres east of the Old City and can easily be reached on foot. From Ploče gate, walk ut to hill on the main road and turn right next to hotel Argentina.
